Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you choose a stage

How the stages, payment, private access, final learning check, completion card, Alma, books and community work.

Important: Carnet de Padres is private family education for adults. It is not an official qualification and does not replace qualified professional or emergency services.

What is Carnet de Padres?

Carnet de Padres is an online parenting education platform organised by age. Each paid stage combines practical learning, tools to use at home, Alma educational guidance, a final learning check and a personal, verifiable completion card.

Who is it for?

It is for parents, carers and guardians who want clearer ways to handle everyday family situations with children and teenagers. It is adult education; children should not use the private area on their own.

Which age stages are available?

All six paid stages are available: Ages 0–3, 3–6, 6–9, 9–12, 12–16 and 16–18. Choose the stage that matches your child’s current age; each stage is purchased and completed separately.

How much does a stage cost?

Each English-language stage currently costs $24.90 USD as a one-time payment for one household. There is no subscription. The price shown on the checkout page at the time of payment is the price that applies.

What does a paid stage include?

A stage includes six practical modules, age-specific scripts and plans, a 7-day action plan, Alma educational guidance and a 20-question learning check. A score of 16 out of 20 generates the completion card. Community invitations or talks may be offered separately when available and with consent; they are not guaranteed by the purchase.

Is the completion card an official qualification?

No. It is a private record that a Carnet de Padres stage has been completed. It is not a state qualification, does not provide a professional licence and does not replace regulated training.

When do I receive the completion card?

Not when you pay. The card is generated after you complete the selected stage and pass its final learning check.

Can the card be verified?

Yes. Anyone with the card’s QR code or verification code can view the adult participant name shown on the card, completed stage, issue date, code and status. The verification page does not display email, phone, location, test answers or information about a child.

Can I use the stage on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The learning area, access page and final check are designed for current phones, tablets and computers. If something does not display correctly, contact info@carnetdepadres.org.

What happens if I do not pass the final check?

Review the relevant part of the stage and try again. The check is there to confirm understanding before the card is issued, not to punish or embarrass anyone.

Can I repeat the final check?

Yes. If you do not reach 16 out of 20, you can revisit the material and make another attempt.

When and how do I receive access?

After PayPal confirms a completed payment, a personal access code is sent to the email address linked to the payment. Check your inbox, spam and promotions folders. Keep the code private and use it only within your household.

Are there Carnet de Padres books in English?

Yes. The English collection includes practical, problem-based parenting guides in Kindle and paperback formats on Amazon. Availability can differ by country and format. See the English books page.

What is Alma?

Alma is the educational guidance layer of Carnet de Padres. It helps a caregiver organise a situation, identify a realistic next step and adapt course tools to a child’s age and the family context.

Does Alma replace a qualified professional?

No. Alma does not diagnose, prescribe or replace medical, psychological, therapeutic, school, safeguarding, legal or emergency services. It should not delay urgent or specialist help.

Is there a parent community?

Stage-based community invitations and talks may be offered separately when available. They are not guaranteed as part of the stage purchase. Participation is optional and requires consent. Do not post identifying or sensitive information about a child.

What information is used for access?

We use the adult purchaser’s email address, selected stage, payment status or reference and personal access code to deliver and validate access. PayPal processes the payment; Carnet de Padres does not receive or store full card or bank details. Please read the current Privacy Policy.

Should I share personal details about my child?

No. Avoid full names, photos, school names, addresses, medical records and other identifying or sensitive details. Describe the situation in general terms whenever possible.

What cancellation or refund terms apply?

The current terms for immediate access to digital content, cancellation rights and any refund conditions are explained in the Purchase and Access Terms presented before payment.

What should I do if there may be immediate danger?

Contact the local emergency or safeguarding service first. Carnet de Padres and Alma are not crisis services. If you are unsure which service applies, use an official local government or health source for your country.

Why is it called Carnet de Padres?

The name comes from a simple idea: families are expected to handle one of life’s hardest responsibilities with very little preparation. We cannot make parenting perfect, but we can learn, rethink unhelpful patterns we inherited and respond with more skill and less harm.
